Colleen is the most fun 1 year old I have ever met. She likes to dance (pictures below)-- which occurs when she hears a song she likes (sometimes it's my singing, sometimes it's Farmer Tag, sometimes it's a song on her piano). She moves her head back and forth and if you're really lucky, she might wiggle her little butt too.
She loves playing with her new birthday toys. She was really outgrowing the crab mallet and water bowl.
At 12 months, Colleen
- does not like to have her diaper changed nor to get dressed or undressed.
- eats almost everything you put in front of her, yet can be satisfied with a fistful of cheerios.
- pets Bailey very gently and calls her Bay or do (short o).
- likes to play with the phone and says 'Ho' or 'Hwo' when she puts it to her ear.
- will put many things to her ear and pretends it's a phone.
- will not do most of the above in front of anyone except me, Dan and Bailey.
- warms up to other people (friends and family) faster now than before, but she's still pretty shy and attached to mama.
- loves to climb and cruise on stationary things, but falls like a sack of bricks if you try to get her to walk while holding her hands.
- tells Dan she likes him better without his glasses (always pulls them off his face).
- loves to read. We read books every night before bed and she reads in the car too.
- only drinks bottles in the morning and before bed. Otherwise she drinks from a sippy cup.
- is our favorite one year old!
